Vietnamese legal opinions, representation before courts and arbitral tribunals, and filings with government authorities are handled by the local Vietnamese team. Taiwanese parent-company law, tax and cross-border investment structuring are handled by the group’s Taiwan lawyers. Matters for Taiwanese clients are coordinated through a Chinese–Vietnamese bilingual contact, so clients deal with a single team.

How do the Taiwanese and Vietnamese lawyers divide the work?
Vietnamese law matters are handled by Vietnam-qualified lawyers; Taiwanese parent-company law, tax and cross-border investment structuring are handled by the group’s Taiwan lawyers. Both teams work on the same matter, so clients do not need to instruct two separate firms.
What should a foreign investor do first when setting up a plant in Vietnam?
Confirm the investment structure and the site. The sequence of the Investment Registration Certificate (IRC) and Enterprise Registration Certificate (ERC), the land lease term, and the existing environmental and fire-safety conditions of the industrial zone all directly affect the construction timetable. The wrong site or structure constrains the environmental assessment, fire-safety acceptance and work permits later, so the structure and site compliance should be assessed before any land or factory lease is signed.
My plant is in northern / southern Vietnam — should I contact the Hanoi or the Ho Chi Minh City office?
It follows the location of the plant and the competent authority: the north (Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen and others) is handled by the Hanoi office; the south (Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and others) by the Ho Chi Minh City office.
