Message from the CEO

Dear colleagues,

In 2024, Louis International Law Firm and Far East Law Offices formally signed a merger agreement, forming the new law offices — Louis & Charles Attorneys at Law. I am deeply honored to have been appointed head and director of the new firm, leading everyone toward this brand-new future.

Looking back on our journey: Louis International Law Firm was founded in 2013, and as employee number one, I began serving clients through intellectual property matters. In 2014, I spent half of my working hours establishing Wanhong Law Offices in Shanghai; although it failed within a year, it taught me that a firm’s growth depends on finding the right team to keep moving forward. From that moment, finding partners became the most important part of my work in building the firm.

In 2017, we opened an office in Tokyo, Japan. Although I do not speak Japanese, with strong business partners behind me and a long-term presence in Tokyo to maintain client relationships, we have always remained competitive in Japan.

In 2019, we courageously stepped into Southeast Asia and established an office in Bangkok, Thailand. From the initial language barriers and cultural differences to fierce market competition, we overcame countless challenges and gradually built our reputation and brand. Today, our Thailand office has become the largest Taiwanese firm in Thailand, with a lawyer headcount about to surpass our Taipei headquarters.

In 2022, to realize the Great Voyage plan formulated in 2018, we opened a new office in Hanoi, Vietnam, overcoming the many difficulties brought by the pandemic to ensure smooth operations. Behind every success lies the tireless effort and dedication of all our colleagues.

Here, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to every team member. It is your professionalism, selfless dedication and firm conviction that have allowed us to keep growing in this field full of opportunities and challenges. I firmly believe that, through our shared efforts, the new firm will embrace an even more brilliant future. Carrying everyone’s trust and support, I will continue to pursue excellence in legal service and provide clients with even more professional and efficient support.
